Peter saw the coronation from a window in his prison at the top of the Needle. While the celebration continues below him, Peter refuses his dinner and then prepares for bed. Peter follows the same routine for the next week, not eating and simply staring out the window when he is not sleeping. On the eighth day, Peter calls for the Chief Warder, Beson, and makes demands like a king. Peter figured out a way to escape the Needle and has decided how to proceed.
