Chapters 25 - 29 Summary

Flagg has befriended Thomas, going to him whenever he sensed that Thomas needed a friend. Flagg once showed Thomas some secret hiding places throughout the castle, including treasure taken from the Anduan pirates and a tower full of bats. During these excursions, Flagg undermined Thomas's confidence and built his mistrust in his brother by telling him how everything in the castle would be Peter's, not his. During one of these excursions Flagg takes Thomas to a secret room where he can watch Roland in his sitting room through the eyes of Niner, the dragon Roland killed the night Peter was conceived. Thomas is excited by this because he likes the idea of watching his father without Roland being aware. Flagg makes Thomas promise that he will never tell anyone about this.....
