Chapter 21 - 23 Summary

Flagg takes the poison out of its special box on the night he has decided to execute his plan, goes into the hallway to hyperventilate, so he will not accidentally breathe in any of the sand, and begins his preparations. Flagg dissolves all but a few grains of the poison into a glass of wine, and takes the knife and tweezers he has used and dumps them into a sewer grate. Flagg returns to his rooms and waits an hour before taking the glass to Roland. Roland is grateful for Flagg bringing him another glass of wine. Although Flagg cannot make himself invisible because this even the best magicians cannot do so, Flagg does make himself dim, so the servants he passes in the hall don't see him.
