Summary
In Chapter 4, “Stillness,” Kyungha temporarily forgets where she is while reading. When she looks up, she is still inside “a dream within a dream” (181). Inseon interrupts her thoughts, revealing that she tried visiting the woman from the account two years prior, but she had died after giving the interview. Kyungha realizes how long Inseon has been working on this project. Inseon changes the subject to their collaboration. Kyungha again insists she does not want to do the film because it has ruined all her relationships. Inseon reminds Kyungha that she still has her.
Kyungha realizes that Inseon might be dying back in the hospital. She remembers when they first met. She had immediately regarded her as “an older sister” (185). On a visit to Windy Pass, they had discussed a myth about women crossing the mountains and turning to stone. Suddenly, Inseon realized...
