Coronado, California

Coronado, California is the principal setting for the story. The command center where Reece's SEAL team reports is in Coronado, as is Reece's house. The command center is important because Reece kills Tedesco and Pilsner here. As is the case with many of the settings, the descriptions are fairly vague. This is a large base, and Reece notes that he usually turns left after the gate to reach the SEAL area but turns right to reach WARCOM, including Pilsner's office.

Afghanistan

Reece and his fellow SEALs are serving out their military deployments in Afghanistan. Reece is on his third and final deployment when his entire group, including the support positions, are killed in an ambush. There are general descriptions of the site of the ambush with more detailed information about the hospital where Reece wakes up and the room where he is interrogated about the ambush.
