James Reece

Known usually as Reece in this novel, he is a lieutenant commander with the Navy SEALS. He is married to Lauren and has a daughter named Lucy. Lauren is pregnant with their second child, a fact Reece does not know until after Lauren's death. Reece has spent years in the military, learning a lot and honing skills along the way. These skills make him a force when he learns that the ambush that killed his men and the attack on his family were targeted attacks. A natural part of Reece's character is his desire to protect others. When Reece cannot protect his men or his family, he naturally sets out to get revenge. This results in a list of people responsible. While Reece is targeting only those directly responsible, there are some additional casualties along the way.
