The Bennett House

Much of the action of the novel happens at Eve and Nathaniel Bennett’s house. It is here that the poor relationship between the two of them plays out. It is also in their backyard that Eve finds Addie at night. Additionally, Addie hits Eve over the head with a frying pan in Eve’s house, and Eve later terrorizes her husband in the same house after he believes she is dead.

Caseham High School

Nathaniel and Addie’s relationship develops and progresses at the high school. It is in English class that she meets Nathaniel, and when they have sex, it is in the school dark room. It is also at the school that Kenzie harasses Addie, and Addie is treated as an outcast.

Pumpkin Patch
