Jason Grace

Jason is one of the three main characters of the book. At the beginning of the story he wakes up on a school bus and cannot remember who he is. Later he finds out that his memories have been taken away by Hera/Juno. He is the son of the god Zeus, conceived while Zeus was in his Roman aspect of Jupiter. This means that Jason can read and speak Latin, and uses the Roman names for gods and monsters. He has powers over the air and the winds, which he can use to fly, and can also call down lightning. He has a gold coin that turns into a golden weapon when he flips it. Later Jason realizes that he is the brother of Thalia, the daughter of Zeus who has now joined Artemis' Hunters.
