Chapters 49-52, Jason and Piper Summary

Khione admits that she has been the one whispering in various ears to make people do things such as tricking Hera into coming to this place, and persuading Aeolus to kill them. She also froze the wires in Festus' head, making him crash, and kept Enceladus informed on their progress. Khione tries to persuade Leo to join her, but Leo laughs at her and refuses. She orders the monsters to attack.

Jason jumps onto the back of a horse-shaped storm spirit and manages to control it. He rides it around, charging into other storm spirits and dissolving them. Piper charms the Earthborn, managing to make them stand still while she kills them with her dagger. Leo is taking on Khione, melting her snow attacks and keeping the whole courtyard from freezing over. Jason defeats all...
