The Chalice of the Gods is a middle grade, mythological fantasy novel that follows Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon, as he rushes to finish his last year of high school. However, when Zeus demands three divine letters of recommendation for Percy’s college placement, he is forced to complete three godly quests before graduation. So, when the cupbearer Ganymede asks for Percy’s help, he, his girlfriend Annabeth, and best friend Grover set off to track down the Chalice of the Gods. This novel explores themes of growing up, parenthood, and the divide between humans and the divine.
