Anita Blake

Anita Blake is the main character and narrator of this novel. She earns her living as an animator, someone who raises zombies, but she is a necromancer by birth, rumored to have control over all types of the undead. She also assists the police on supernatural cases. Anita is short, petite, and half-Mexican, with long, curly, black hair. She is ruthless and has the most legal vampire kills of any vampire killer in the United States, earning her the nickname the Executioner among the vampires. Anita is dating Jean-Claude, a vampire, and Richard, a werewolf.
