Section XIII, ch. 37-39 Summary

Marcus chooses the form they will fight in, and Anita holds Richard's hand as he changes halfway into a werewolf. He tells her to touch him if he asks because if he is losing, she can ride the power to save his followers. Marcus announces his challenge and lunges at Richard. It is cheating if anyone helps Marcus, and Anita can shoot them. When Sebastian stabs Richard, Anita shoots him. Richard kills Marcus and commands Anita to put her gun up and not kill Raina. When she ignores him, he smacks it out of her hand. He tells her to ride the power or run. The pack begins to change, and Richard collapses on top of Anita and shapeshifts on top of her. When the pack feeds on Marcus, Anita grabs her gun and runs.
