Summary
Polly knows that Tegan will not take the news of more time at their house well, but she is determined that the woman stay until the baby is born. She thinks Tegan looks awful, and her urine is dark because of dehydration. Polly plans on making her drink enough water, believing that Tegan does not care enough about her baby to do it for her sake. Tegan thanks Polly for all of the caretaking, admitting that even before this she had been struggling. Polly thinks about how Tegan probably would undo the night she got pregnant if she could and that she will probably let her baby cry herself to sleep. Polly goes to make Tegan breakfast when Hank comes in. The police arrive.
