Chapter Eleven Summary

The beginning of Chapter Eleven finds Alexia by herself in a dark cell. She finally hears two voices outside her door. One voice sounds familiar. The door opens and Alexia sees the man who had her kidnapped and Mr. MacDougall. Mr. MacDougall recognizes her and goes to her to help her sit up and to demand that she be released. Mr. MacDougall calls her by name. Mr. Siemons is delighted that he has located the woman he has been hunting. He can't wait to study her. Siemons and MacDougall take her into a more comfortable room to talk about what they are doing. Siemons claims he is saving the commonwealth. He wants to destroy the supernatural before the supernatural overruns the country and takes it over. They have had to use the supernatural powers for military reasons and to build up...
