Magnus Chase

Magnus Chase is the main character of the novel. He is a young teen that was turned into an einherjar, one of Odin’s warriors, after he died during the previous novel. As the son of Frey, Magnus is not as much of a fighter as the other einherjar, but shares a close bond with the members of Floor 19. Despite this, he does try to fight when the situation calls for it, relying on his wits to outsmart his enemy. Magnus also has strong healing powers, as shown by his ability to keep Blitz alive after he is stabbed by the Skofnung Sword and other feats throughout the novel. As a narrator, Magnus is very sarcastic and loves to talk directly to the reader throughout the adventure.
