Summary

In Chapter 39, "Elvis Has Left the Bowling Bag," Magnus claims guest rights but is ignored. Utagard-Loki sets Sam and Hearth down at Magnus’s request and says he did not think they would make it with the bowling bag. Blitz promises to make it its normal size if Tiny vouches for them as promised and the giant reluctantly does. Utgard-Loki makes the entire party a bit smaller to accommodate the guests. Utgard-Loki admits that he is the only giant that wants to help them and says he was just trying to stop them from falling into Loki’s trap. He says they must prove their worth to earn his follower’s respect but could die trying.
