Summary

In Chapter 27, "Let Me Go Immediately, or I Will Make You a Billionaire," Magnus holds Andvari who says that anyone who takes their gold always suffers until they want to die. Hearth and Magnus says Loki once took Andvari’s gold, but Andvari says that everyone after Loki suffered. He mentions a magical ring and Magnus uses Jack to clean the dwarf’s feet which Andvari calls torture. They threaten Andvari until he disables all the traps and they find his gold under a boulder. Hearth explains that, without the ring, the treasure will always come up short of what they need. Andvari gives them the ring, promising that it will curse them, and explains that the pit of gold is held by a magical bag. Jack gives Magnus the ring and they all return to Hearth’s house.
