Summary

Seven Years Earlier, Lore travels with her father where he reveals that he knows she snuck out with Castor a week prior. He tells her not to go without an adult, but freezes when she says she always has her knife with her. He says the Unblooded will take her away if they see her weapon and that their legends are lies perpetrated by the victors. He says how they are remembered is less important than what they do. He makes her promise not to sneak out again and says he will talk to Castor’s father about meeting outside of her lessons. They then talk about what they will do for her sister Pia's birthday.
