Summary

In Chapter Seven, Lore sneaks to the Thetis house and free climbs up the side looking for Castor. She sees a party and thinks of how her father approached the archon of Achillides to train her when she was younger. She reaches a thin ledge on the fourth floor and crawls over to a balcony. There, she disarms the alarm that Castor showed her and unlocks the door to a storage room. As she finds a mask, a man asks what she is doing.

In Chapter Eight, Lore says she heard something and casually reveals a fake tattoo that marks her as being an Achillides. A group of nine young girls arrive with Philip and his wife, Acantha. Lore is furious as Philip hits one of the girls and demands that they be prepared for a ceremony. Lore follows the guard...
