Chapter 28 "The Exquisite Dilemma" Summary

Back at school, Charlotte hides herself away in the library. A group of girls at the table in front of hers are talking about the lacrosse team. Hearing it makes Charlotte thinks of Harrison and then Hoyt and she starts to cry. She doesn't want to leave the library, because she is studying for neuroscience and the books she needs are here, but she can't stop crying. She gets up to leave and runs into somebody as she exits the room. It turns out to be Adam. He asks her what is wrong and she starts crying again so he leads her to a private area of the library with his arm gently around her.

Charlotte has only been back for a day and she is already overcome by loneliness. Adam, who calls her honey...
