Charlotte has just finished her medieval history exam and wishes she could still be writing the exam because she would at least be with a group of people pursuing a common goal. She is thinking again of how lonely she is. She decides to go to the library where being alone wouldn't seem pathetic, when she sees Jojo trying to catch up with her. He tells her that he just wants to apologize and asks her to lunch. She agrees because she feels so lonely, but she doesn't entirely trust his motives.
