Chapter 11 Summary

With Mrs.Whitney is her daughter Linda, who is there as her mother's attorney. Throughout the interview, Eve relentlessly questions Anna on her relationship with David, and her reason for the large sum of money she has given him. When Anna returns, she informs Eve that she gave the money to David as a loan to repay a gambling debt, because his life was in danger if it wasn't repaid. Eve also learns that David argued with his mother over his gambling problem not long before her death. Eve leaves the home with Feeney and attempts to track down David Angelini.

After a long afternoon of fruitlessly searching for David, Eve decides she needs a girl's night with Mavis. While Mavis and Eve are basking in the luxury of Roarke's mansion, Nadine Furst is all business at Channel 75, preparing to air the interview...
