Chapter 8 Summary

Eve is upset to see that the only connection that they really have is Roarke. Struggling to find some other link, Eve goes to visit Dr. Mira, the police psychiatrist. She dreads seeing the woman, because Dr. Mira is also her therapist. By the time she arrives, Eve is trembling; she is that afraid of answering the doctor's questions about her personal life. Eve and the Dr. sip tea and discuss the killer's possible motives. When Dr. Mira questions Eve about her worry over Roarke, Eve is beside herself. She asks the doctor if she thinks Roarke could be the killer. When Dr. Mira says that she doesn't, Eve is relieved beyond belief. She points out to Dr. Mira that the other connection the victims share is family.
