Part 6, Chapter 47 Summary

Claire is now in the 1900s, finishing the story of how she came back through the standing stones. Brianna and Roger are listening. She tells Brianna that Jamie is her father. Brianna does not believe Claire. She is angry, calls Claire a bitch, and runs out of the house. Roger stays with Claire and tells her what his research tells him about the fallen men. Claire listens with tears rolling down her eyes. He then takes Claire outside for some fresh air and tells her that he believes her story.

Claire tells Roger she has something to share with him and they look at his family tree pinned up on the wall of his late uncle's study. She tells him that Geillis Duncan's son was given to William and Sarah MacKenzie. The child needed a wet nurse, and their own son...
