Summary

At the beginning of Part III: Soldiers, Arves tells Patson to run as the army enters on horseback. The soldiers heard everyone together. Patson wonders where Uncle James is. A man in charge comes up in a jeep, stating himself to be Commander Jesus. Uncle James and Musi are thrown at the feet of the commander. Musi is not conscious. They have renamed Banda Hill, Mai Mujuru. Uncle is forced to tell the people that he is working with the commander. The commander is waiting for people to seek forgiveness by handing over the stones they have, but Uncle James claims that nobody has any more. Soldiers bring over thorn branches, and they throw several men onto the pile and then stomp on them and beat them.
