Summary

PART TWO begins with Chapter 15 from Darkstalker's perspective, a couple of months later. Arctic had revealed Darkstalker's power to Foeslayer and there was a brief argument, including that Darkstalker warned Arctic that he needed to stop using his power before he became entirely evil. Whiteout was pleased and began telling people, meaning the word spread. He liked the attention as the tribe's first dragon with animus power. They were suddenly invited to many events that had previously been out of their social circle. He invites Clearsight but she wants to be invited to court on her own merit. Whiteout also does not attend because Queen Vigilance is not “entirely comfortable with such an obvious hybrid roaming around her court” (157).
