Summary

In Chapter 27, two days have passed. Maverick has a gun and prepares to kill Red. He has planned carefully, including wearing a gray bandana on his face. He plans to go to the cemetery afterward, throwing his hoodie and gun in a lake. After that, “I'll go home and go on with my life” (321). Despite the careful plan, he is shaking.
