Chapter 26 Summary
"Ground Zero"
Ix-Nay and Tully arrive in San Pedro. A woman named Consuelo meets them at the airport; she thinks they have arrived for Spring Break. Ix-Nay corrects her, but when they tell her that they're headed for Renaldo's she informs them that Renaldo's is ground zero for spring-break. Tully feels comfortable because he blends in with the spring-breakers in his surfing clothes. Consuelo also tells them to be sure and dine at her aunt's Creole restaurant.
After a brief thunderstorm, they make their way to Renaldo's and meet up with Sandra. She takes them to their condo. They pass a swimming pool with many scantily clad coeds. When they get to the condo they find that the accommodations are top notch. They flip for the shower; Ix-Nay wins and Tully goes out for a swim.
Out at the pool bar Tully orders...
