Chapter 22 Summary

"Any Place Named After the Holy Ghost is Fine With Me"

Since Tully is a fugitive and traveling to another country, he has a fake passport. Ix-Nay doesn't want Tully looking like an ex-patriot, so he tells him to either dress like a tourist or a surfer; Tully opts for the surfer look.

They take a freighter called the L'Ostra Encantadora and a group of Indian boys are playing with a soccer ball. One of the boys kicks the ball and hits Tully in the head. Ix-Nay tells him to practice his Mayan to talk to the boy. In broken Mayan, Tully compliments the boy on his kicking ability and it breaks the ice.

That night, on the ship, there is a great storm and all the lights go out on the ship. The ship sustains some damage and Captain Claro invites Ix-Nay...
