Identity

All of the three main characters in this story are trying to come to terms with who they are and to better understand themselves and their place in the world. Piper has a difficult inner struggle. There are so many different and often contrasting things that make up the person that Piper is. She is the daughter of a famous movie star, and so is extremely wealthy and privileged. She is half Cherokee on her father's side, meaning that her family comes from a Native American reservation. Her mother is the Greek goddess Aphrodite.
