The Opal Ring

The opal ring symbolizes Snowfall's desire for power and her belief that she needs magic to achieve that. The ring is an animus object and Snowfall soon realizes she has misjudged it.

The Earring

The earring is a symbol of Snowfall's fear that Darkstalker is not really gone. Qibli had the earring as a means of countering Darkstalker's magic and he cloned the earring hundreds of times, providing one to every dragon affected by Darkstalker. The IceWings got the earrings to counter a plague Darkstalker created to wipe out the entire tribe. Snowfall still carries her earring because she does not trust those who say Darkstalker no longer poses a threat.
