Chapter 7 "His Majesty the Baby" Summary

Adam is on his way to a meeting at The Wave, Dupont's alternative newspaper. He is excited about pitching his idea for a story about the governor of California and what happened in the Grove last year. Adam feels entitled to the position of editor but knows that he can never have it because he has to work two jobs just to be able to afford to stay at college. His family is Jewish and his father worked himself up from nothing to somebody rich. When his father left Adam and his mother, he left them in poverty. After his father left, Adam's mother turned her attentions on Adam. He became all-important to her and he was going to grow up to be something. Adam grew up to believe.....
