Chapter 4 "The Dummy" Summary

Chapter 4 begins with a description of Saint Ray house and the fraternity boys who reside in it. The house was built before World War I and had been intended to house generations of Saint Ray boys. The once elegant library now houses only the large screen TV. Hoyt, Vance, Julian, and a few other frat boys are sitting around and Hoyt is asked for his thoughts on their discussion. He realizes that this happens all the time now that word had spread about how he and Vance had beat up the bodyguard in the Grove. Ivy Peters, who is considered a mistake by some of the cooler frat boys, comes into the room. He is teased and leaves angry. The boys start a discussion about what Vance and Hoyt saw......
