Love Conquers All is an ageless theme in which we see a hardened, cynical police Lieutenant blossom and become more trusting of the world around her. In this novel, the plot follows a lonely cop through a horrific investigation. When we meet the main character, Eve, she is a cynical, rough-around-the-edges woman who swears off love completely. Abused as a child, Eve learned at a very young age that loving a man can bring you pain, and has never let herself fall in love with anyone. Eve believes that if she keeps romance at arms length, she will be safe from any kind of emotional tumult. However, Eve's boyfriend, Roarke, has other plans for her.
