Eve decides to try and lull C.J. into a false sense of security by playing on his trauma over finding Louise Kirski dead. However, when she arrives at the newsroom, Eve is unsuccessful in finding him. Sidetracked by Larinda Mars, the snooty "social reporter" at Channel 75, Eve sees that the woman is fishing for an invite to Roarke's party that evening.
