Chapter 12 Summary

Eve arrives totally sober at Channel 75, and can tell by the heavy traffic that the news has already gotten out. Totally disgusted, she calls Dispatch and orders the air and ground secured from on-lookers. Swallowing her guilt, she makes her way to the scene. When she sees the raincoat, she feels a lurch in her stomach. Preparing herself, she pulls back the hood and can barely contain a gasp. The victim is not Nadine. It is Louise Kirski, a production editor for Channel 75. When she enters the building, Eve notices the monitors and is furious to see Nadine already giving a report on the murder, but not at all surprised when she sees C.J. Morse suddenly appear on camera. Demanding to know where the studio is, Eve barrels in and orders.....
