Chapter 3 Summary

Eve wastes no time. She contacts Nadine Furst and offers her a shot at the story. Nadine eagerly accepts, leaving Eve to savor her revenge against C.J.

Next Eve speaks to George Hammett, Cicely Towers' lover. After speaking with George she senses that George is not the killer, and leaves.

Eve heads to the neighborhood where the murder was committed. Eve allows her mind wander, going over all of the possible scenarios of that night. Retracing Cicely's steps, she realizes that she must have been carrying an umbrella but none was found at the scene. Then she is interrupted by someone calling out to her.
