Part 6, Chapter 37 Summary

Prince Charles sends for Claire. He tells her to bring her medicine box. Upon her arrival, he tells Claire there is a Chieftain that he is trying to persuade to join him, but he wishes to speak to Claire first. She is baffled and wonders who it might be. She agrees and Charles takes her to see him.

It is Colum MacKenzie. She is shocked to see him. He first apologizes for his past mistakes with her. He had her charged with witchcraft and sentenced to hang. She, of course, is saved before it happens. He asks her if she has anything for which to kill himself. He is in a lot of pain and is given very little time to live. She hands him a bottle and he thanks her. She asks him if he will join Charles in battle...
