Part 5, Chapter 35 Summary

The town prepares for the battle. Jenny calls Jamie aside while she's making alcohol in the shed. She asks him to take Ian with him to battle. He tells her he cannot. She, having a temper like Jamie, gets mad and starts explaining that he feels he's not a whole man. He will feel useful if Jamie takes him along. Jamie will think about it, but tells Jenny it's going to be a rough battle, nothing like they've been through before.

Jamie decides to tell Ian he needs to come to battle with him. Ian thinks he has lost his mind. He will not stand a chance with one wooden leg in battle. Jamie says he needs to protect his weak side. Ian says by staying behind and taking care of the women and children is taking care of Jamie's weak...
