"The Spare Bulb"

After leaving New Caledonia, he goes looking for Waltham, beginning in Luganville in the Espiritu Santo island chain. After arriving in Luganville, they are greeted by friendly locals and Willie is tempted to ask about Waltham, but he has a feeling that he shouldn't.

Later, at a place called the Coolidge Bar, he meets up with Jetfuel Joe. Joe asks is Willie has brought a message from Captain Keed; Willie doesn't know who he's talking about. In turn, he asks Joe about Waltham and Joe tells him he's on the island Dalvalo.

Willie's suspicion about not asking after Waltham at the airport proves to be true because Waltham is either a drug dealer or conspirator, which makes Willie wonder why Parfait has sent him looking for Waltham. Knowing the importance of finding the.....
