Chapter 18 Summary

"Leap, and the Net Will Appear"

Tully tells Cleopatra about his dream and she says she has that dream all the time. He asks her how it turns out and she retorts that she didn't find out until she was ninety-three.

In order to navigate the channel, Tully needs access to the lighthouse. He will need to bribe Hector to help. When he left for Tulum he had $500 in his pocket, but that was stolen when he was sleeping on the beach before meeting Cleopatra. He only has $50 and that's not enough to entice Hector.

Cleopatra and Tully approach the guardhouse and Hector is listening to Viva Las Vegas. Tully figures he can offer Hector a trip to Las Vegas and worry about how to pay for it later. Cleopatra speaks to Hector in.....
