Summary
Chapter 14 starts as Nelson says that some people refuse to even consider their death, especially if it was by violent means. Mei arrives with a young man named Alan and Hugo reassures him that he will want help on his journey. However, Wallace feels an unnerving sense of cold from Alan. When Hugo offers him tea, Alan goes on a tirade about how he was killed in an alleyway while people ignored him and wants Hugo to help find the murderer. Mei says Alan can only go forward, but he says he wants the man to pay for what he did to him and is convinced neither of them are listening. Eventually, Alan breaks down in a screaming rage.
Wallace questions why the Manager does not send files before people die so they could be rescued, but Mei says death is inevitable. Wallace...
