Summary

In Chapter 121, Kvothe went to Vashet’s house. He led Vashet outside. He played his lute for her and began to cry.

In Chapter 122, Kvothe returned to Vashet’s house the following morning. Vashet said that Penthe had spoken to her in favor of Kvothe and Carceret had spoken to her against Kvothe. Vashet decided to resume Kvothe’s training. Several days later, Vashet informed Kvothe that his test was the following day. She said students of the school had been forming attachments to Kvothe, which Shehyn did not want to interfere with their studies.
