Summary

Chapter 34 picks up from Adalyn's perspective. She is in shock after Matthew's email that revealed Andrew is selling the Miami Flames. Adalyn feels sure that Andrew is being forced to sell because of her attack on the mascot. When Adalyn realizes Cameron already knew, she is hurt. Cameron wanted today – the day of the final game for the Green Warriors – to be perfect for Adalyn. Adalyn says Cameron did not trust her to take care of the situation. Cameron says Adalyn is strong and independent. He trusts her, but also wants to protect her. Adalyn says Cameron should take the job offer in London. Cameron outright refuses to consider it. Adalyn decides it is time to return to her life in Miami. Cameron stops at the door, but Adalyn does not tell him to stay.
