Part Two, Clues: Chapters 32-35 Summary

Ignacio Carrera is working out in his home gym, pushing himself to the point of inflicting pain. Carrera is a hired killer who takes a great deal of pleasure in killing. While working out, Carrera gets a phone call from a man in London named Marlowe. Marlowe tells Carrera that he has gotten a phone call at the British-Continental Insurance front from the woman known as Joanna Rand. Marlowe is concerned Joanna Rand will go to England and discover things that could cause trouble for a number of people. Carrera tells Marlowe that Joanna will not leave Kyoto, and even if she does, Carrera will know it and take care of it. Carrera then threatens Marlowe, telling him if he does not stop asking questions about Joanna Rand, he will be terminated.
