Summary

In Chapter 6, Jeri warned Lacy that Bannick was still killing people. Two years prior Bannick had murdered Perry Kronke, a businessman. Kronke was found strangled on his fishing boat. Jeri explained Bannick had served as an intern in Kronke’s firm, but did not receive a job offer, like all the other interns had. Jeri told Lacy that her theory was that Bannick kept a list of all the people he believed had wronged him. She suspected the sexual abuse by the scoutmaster had triggered his mental illness.
