Hugh Bland

Hugh Bland is the villain in the novel. He is the one who killed April and allowed Neville to go to jail for his crime. April arranged for a friend of hers to take Hugh’s entrance exams so that he would be guaranteed a place at Pelham. As payment, April bullied Hugh.
