Summary

In Chapter 26, in the present, Hannah agrees to meet Geraint at Bonnie Bagel. Geraint explains to her that there are gaps in the story of April’s murder that he hopes she can help him fill in.

Hannah tells him that she and her friends were in a college bar celebrating April’s role in a play. Near the end of the evening, April went to their room to change out of her costume, but never returned. Hannah went to check on her and saw Neville coming down the stairs. She remembered opening the door, which was ajar, and seeing Hannah laying there, but nothing else.

Geraint points out that there are strange things about the case, like the fact none of Neville’s DNA was found on April. Additionally, he notes no one reported hearing a struggle. Geraint also asks Hannah if...
