Summary

In Chapter 45, at Pelham, Hannah and November are rattled when they learn Myers has volunteered to lead their tour. The final stop on their tour is the rooms where April and Hannah lived. Myers explains that the entire portion of the building was turned into offices after April’s death.

Inside the rooms, Hannah asks Myers if he can leave them alone for a moment. November tells Hannah that she had thought she would feel nothing in April’s room. She is surprised how “affected” (322) it feels.

Hannah shows November the room where April slept and tells her about the prank April pulled on her. Hannah says that April was not tall enough to climb back in through the window. She had to climb down the drainpipe instead.

November recognizes the spot in the sitting room where April’s body was found. Before...
