Summary

In Chapter 31, set before April died, when Emily saw Hannah’s bruises, she insisted that Hannah tell someone what had happened. They talked to Myers, but he said that he would not report what Hannah said without hearing Neville’s side of the story. He suggested the attack was not targeted, and that Neville did not recognize Hannah, he just saw that someone was trying to sneak onto campus.

In Chapter 32, in the present, Hannah wants to forget all of the suspicions that Geraint’s information has brought to her mind. She is distracted from her unhappiness when she feels her baby move for the first time.

In Chapter 33, set before April died, Hannah overheard April and Will arguing because Will was going to see his mother on her birthday instead of attending the final performance of April’s play.
